Ingredients
4 c. mashed yams (about 4-5 large yams, peeled, quartered, and boiled until tender)
1 c. sugar
1/4 c. melted butter
1/2 c. milk
2 eggs
2 Tbsp. vanilla
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
Directions
Put ingredients in a large bowl. Blend together with a mixer or beaters and put in a greased casserole dish (approx. 9" x 13").
Topping: Ingredients
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. flour
1/4 c. melted butter
1/2 c. chopped pecans
Direction
Mix and drop spoonfuls on top of yams. Bake at 350° for 45 minutes. These are simply divine.
Hello Everyone. I'm back with another monthly recipe. Today I'm sharing how to make sweet potato casserole. This dish is a family tradition to have at Thanksgiving and Christmas every year. The best part is it so easy to make. Plus you can make it the day before the big day and put it in your fridge.
So therefor the next day all you have to do is pop it in to the oven. I have gotten told by a lot of friends. That this dish is more like an dessert then a side dish. Over all everyone I have made this dish for. Loves it. I will be making it again in a few weeks for Christmas.
